| "I have a fever... and the only prescription is More Cowbell!!"
Gotta love it.
School sucks. Yeah, it does. Now that I've completely slacked-ass since the beginning of the semester, I find my self in the horrible predicament of a 7 page Religion paper due next week, as well as reading 8 Psych chapters, taking 4 quizzes online, and a test on Monday... oh yeah, and then I haven't even finished the freaking Cliff Notes to the book that I'm supposed to be done reading in my Lit class---I mean, how lazy could one be??!! So, yeah, I'm pretty much behind in every subject, except Microcomputer Applications... and I'm sure I'll probably be slipping up there too here soon.
Not too much here is new... same ol' same ol'. We do, however, have a new individual residing in the household de' la Flynn. Angela decided that GCCC softball wasn't cool enough, so she signed with Troy to play in the Spring---but wait! That means no more GCCC team... ie: no apartment. So, here she is. It's actually been pretty cool having someone else my age around, whenever I'm home that is. Speaking of the spring--I applied to UF a few weeks ago and now I'm anxiously waiting for the either good or bad news. SO SCARY!! Lala and I are going apartment shopping during Fall Break, so I'm totally pumped up for that. Plus, I've actually got most of the big stuff that I need for the house, and everything seems to be comming together at this point, so I'm definitely optimisic! Everything happens for a reason and works out in the end...
Keep it real, lovas! | | |
| I just got back from the best roadtrip ever to Texas!! Me, Lala, and Jenna went and enjoyed "64 Acres of family fun!" at America's largest waterpark, Schlitterbaugn. Let me tell you, it was one hell of a trip! Everything was amazing, except for our little run-in with the law on the Comal River--Fuck the Police! It's cool... "sitated probation," community service, fines, etc was exactly what I wanted to bring back with me from Texas... Yep! That's right! The 3 of us are officially MIP A/B ((Minors in Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage--IE: 12 Oz Coors Lite)). I'd have to say, for the first time going before a judge in court, we did pretty well... Anyway, it was just the first of many successful group trips. North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Holland--here we come!!
It's a sad little time of the year right now... summer is winding down ((which I totally can't believe!)) and everyone is either moving back or leaving for the first time. I hate that I have to stay this extra semester @ GCCC, but I know that the next 5 months are going to totally fly by and then it will finally be my turn to move to G-ville!! It's so exciting, but so damn scary and nerve-racking @ the same time. I have so much to do in such a little amount of time... blech. By the way, does anyone need a roomate from January-May 2006? I promise a good time
| Is anyone else as shocked as I am that it is already JULY?! How crazy is that?! Damn, I've said this a thousand times before, but time freaking flies! Not too much has been going on with me... the usual: work, summer school, partying... I just got back from a 5-day family vacation in Cleveland, Ohio. Considering I really needed a break from Panama City, and getting to spend some QT with the parentals, my sista, and all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, it was a pretty successful trip. We all went up there for my cousin, Kelly's, wedding, and then we are going to have to go back in September for my other cousin, Dan's, wedding. My family is kickass, so I really don't mind. Ohio isn't that bad either--believe it or not! We went to the Indians/Red Sox game which was badass, and to the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame and this amazing science museum (Yes, I'm a true nerd @ heart), and we stayed at the nicest effing hotel ever! I saw LeBron James and all of the Cincinnati Reds were staying there too... pretty impressive to me--but of course, that doesn't really take much. So anyway, yeah, it was pretty cool, I'm not going to lie.
The countdown has officially begun: only 24 days until Schlitterbaun!! I am so damn excited I can't even explain it!! Until then I'll be working my ass off to save up money so I can party down... Amazing!
Another awesome thing about July, Independence Day... and Bill Fish! I just can't wait for anything it seems!! I'm ready to partay!!
| Are you serious? It's less than 2 weeks into the 2005 Hurricane Season and we're already being bombarded w/ our 1st storm?! How freaking lame is that?! Not like it's a particularly bad storm, but still! Rain sucks!!
Another thing that sucks--Joycie left 2 days ago to go back to Holland. It's weird... I've only known her for a year and she's become one of the closest friends I've ever had. I hate that she had to leave, especially b/c we hung out all the freaking time. Life is a bitch sometimes. I've come to value friendships even more than I had before. True friends are probably the hardest things in the world to come by, and I am just extremely fortunate to have the ones that I do. I miss her though, but that just means many a roadtrip and flights to the Nederlands in my future!!
Nothing much has been new though... work, summer school, partying... it's a pretty good life I suppose. I actually better get back on my homework that I've been putting off for the past---hmmm--2 weeks now.
*Ciao* | | |
